return to the figure

Back when I was doing Foudation at Northwich College. I spent a lot of time drawing the figure, and from time to time I have always wanted to go back to working with the figure. So this is a new ish diversion. It gives me a break from painting landscapes and I plan to do a lot more.

This is such a new way of working for me that I have as yet no title for this work. It is an embelished print , which means a print that I have worked on top of with glazes of varnish, collage paint and pen. It has gone through several major changes, re printing re working and then layers of various varnishes. The most apt term to described it is decoupage. The work is mounted onto board and each individual artwork framed. Each version is not quite identical so each version is an individual artwork in itself.

It is 29.5 x 24 cm framed. The price is £375

Due to a sudden case of catastrophic geo-morphism with a painting I have been working on ………..I decided to see if the Universe would go away if I put a towel on my head…………sometime later I realised it hadn’t……..ho hum
